Description

The difficulties in planning the radiation treatment of most intrathoracic tumors other than lymphomas are such that it is perhaps not surprising that the results of therapy are not as good as one would have wished. Certainly, the normal-tissue response limits the dose it is feasible to give, especially when large volumes have to be treated because of the nature of the spread and extent of the disease
