Lithium-cationic conductance in the Li4P2O7-Zn2P2O7 system

Description
Phase ratios and electric conductivity are studied in the Li4P2O7-Zn2P2O7 system. Two ternary compounds of 3Li4P2O7·2Zn2P2O7 and Li4P2O7·6Zn2P2O7 composition, as well as a wide range of solid solutions on the basis of high-temperature of β-Li4P2O7 are found. β-Solid solutions have elevated lithium-cation conductivity (∼ 3 x 10-1 S/cm at 700 deg C, ∼ 1.6 x 10-2 S/cm at 400 deg C) and at 385 ± 5 deg C they undergo eutectic decomposition accompanied by jump decrease of electric conductivity.
