Description
Structural types of rare earth and Y oxytungstates of TR2WO6 structure are systematized. X-ray diffraction study of Er2WO6 two modifications with the elementary cell parameters: a=5.193, b=8.991, c=9.863 A (sp.gr. P212121, z=4, R=6.1 and Rw=6.6%) and a=7.576, b=5.137, c=11.316 A, β=104.48 deg (sp.gr. P2/c, z=4, R=5.2 and Rw=6.6%). Structures of these and earlier described (sp.gr. Pbca, z=8) erbium oxytungstate modifications are compared. The most probable mechanism of structural transformations during phase transfer of three Er2WO6 modifications is suggested
