A general relativity approach to the QHD-I model for nuclear mater: a first study

  • 1. Rio Grande do Sul Univ., Porto Alegre, RS (Brazil). Inst. de Fisica

Description

We present the basis for a 'generalization'of the QHD-I model for nuclear mater, consistent with general relativity. We introduce the presence of gravity by reformulating the Euler-Lagrange equations as well as the Lagrangian density itself. The changes were introduced in order to obtain general-relativistic covariant field equations. Instead of using standard quantization procedures, we insert the gravitational field into the formalism as a space-time curvature. (author)
