L1642 - a dust cloud in a cometary globule
Creators

Description
Detailed maps of the distribution of neutral hydrogen and gas flow velocities are presented for the region adjacent to and including L1642. These correlate well with visible nebulosity in this region. The results have been tentatively interpreted in terms of a cometary globule structure which contains L1642 in what may be a hydrodynamic instability
