Worldwide data on fluxes of 239,240Pu and 238Pu to the oceans
Description
The world's oceans contain 16 PBq of 239,240Pu, and the expected inventory is 12 PBq from weapons testing. The Irish Sea contains 0.3 PBq in the sediments. The discrepancy between measurements and expectations may be due to an under-estimate for fallout in rain. Data for 238Pu are scarce. (author). 75 refs, 8 figs and tabs
