Sheath formation in a plasma with energetic electrons
Description
The sheath potential and its structure are analyzed for the case of a plasma with a nonthermal energetic electron population. This situation corresponds to what happens in the scrape-off layer of a tokamak plasma heated by radio-frequency waves. A modified Bohm criterion is also derived. (orig.)
