Improvement of 12Kh18N10T steel tubular billet quality
Description
Analysis of defects of hot-rolled 12Kh18N10T steel tubular billets and of chemical metal composition enabled to reveal the positive effect of elevated manganese content on hot ductility. It is shown that increase of manganese sulfide quantity in steel and reduction of iron sulfide amount promote the decrease of steel adhesion to instrument during plastic hot working. It is recommended to decrease the temperature of 12Kh18N10T steel hot working at low manganese content
