K-meson production in pp interactions and the quark-gluon string model

Description
The inclusive spectra of K+-, K0, and K-bar0 mesons in high-energy pp interactions are calculated in the quark-gluon string model. The cylindrical and multicylindrical graphs corresponding to the supercritical Pomeron are taken into account. It is shown that the model gives a good description of both the shape and the energy dependence of the K-meson spectra and multiplicities with practically no free parameters. Predictions are made for superhigh energies E/sub lab/>103 TeV
