Diffusion jet combustion of metal particles
Description
A new technique of continuous high-temperature synthesis of nano- and ultradispersed high-purity powders of metal oxides, such as ZrO2, CdO, B2O3, is described. The technique is based on gas-dispersed metal powder combustion in laminar two-phase diffusive jets (LTGJ) and it permits preparation of spherical particles of very narrow granulometric composition. Results of theoretical and experimental studies in the mechanism of LTDJ-synthesis and the properties of condensed-phase products of metal combustion are discussed

Описана новая технология непрерывного высокотемпературного синтеза нано- и ультрадисперсных высокочистых порошков оксидов металлов, таких как ZrO2, CdO, B2O3. Метод основан на сжигании диспергированного газом порошка металла в режиме ламинарных двухфазных диффузионных струй (ЛДФДС) и позволяет получать сферические частицы очень узкого гранулометрического состава.
