Wake field excitation in plasma by a train of relativistic electron bunches
- 1. Khar'kov Physics and Technology Institute National Scientific Center (Ukraine)
Description
Plasma wake-field excitation by a train of relativistic electron bunches is studied analytically and computer simulated. Both the self-consistent particle bunch dynamics for linear plasma response and the excitation of nonlinear plasma waves by the train of given bunches are considered. The maximum field values and the size of the region where these fields are excited are obtained as functions of the number of bunches. 9 refs., 12 figs
