Excitation of plasma waves by a power-modulated TEA CO2-laser

Description
Th apparatus and preliminary results of the proof-of-principle experiment of driven scattering plasma diagnostics is reported. In the present experiment, a high-power, power-modulated TEA CO2 laser beam is launched into a low temperature laboratory plasma in order to excite electrostatic plasma waves. The excited plasma waves are detected by a Langmuir probe. (orig.)
