2S resonances in Li I, Be II and B III

Description

The nonrelativistic positions of the first few 2S resonances in Li I, Be II and B III are calculated using the correlated-configuration saddle-point method. The wavelengths computed for the transitions from the 1s22p 2P0 state exhibit good agreement with experiment, although change in existing assignment is proposed for one transition. Comparison with Auger spectroscopy results is also presented. (orig.)
