Heat transfer with water in forced convection without boiling in small diameter tubes

Description
This note presents the measurements performed for the establishment of an empirical heat transfer law for water in forced convection without boiling in small diameter tubes (2 and 4 mm), with high flow velocity and strong heat flux, and for relatively low fluid temperatures. A correlation of experimental points is obtained with a very small maximum dispersion: Nufl = 0,0092 Refl0,88 Pr0,5 (μfl/μp)0,14. A correlation for the fiction coefficient is also presented
Abstract (French)
On expose les mesures effectuees dans le but d'etablir une loi empirique d'echange thermique avec l'eau en convection forcee sans ebullition dans des tubes de petit diametre (2 et 4 mm), a forte vitesse de circulation et fort flux thermique, pour des temperatures de fluide relativement basses. On obtient une correlation des points experimentaux presentant une dispersion maximum tres faible: Nufl = 0,0092 Refl0,88 Pr0,5 (μfl/μp)0,14. Une correlation pour le coefficient de frottement est egalement presentee. (auteurs)Files
