Q-dependence of zero degree binary encounter electron production for Siq+, and Cu1+ on H2
Creators
- 1. Kansas State Univ., Manhattan, KS (United States)
Description
The elastic scattering model, ESM, predicts the binary encounter electron spectra extremely well for low Z projectiles (Z<10). The ESM is compared here to the experimental double differential cross sections for 1 MeV/u Si (q=4 to 13) and Cl (q=5 to 13) on H2 and 0.5 MeV/u Cu (q=4,5, 11 to 15) on H2. The magnitude and the shape of the ESM agree fairly well with experiment, however, the ESM peak positions occur systematically at a higher energy than the experiment
