Investigation of regularities of proton emission in inelastic π- meson interactions with carbon nuclei at Psub(πsub(-))=40 GeV/c
Description
The experimental data on longitudinal momentum and multiplicity distributions for the protons emitted into forward and backward hemispheres (l. s.) in inelastic π-12C-interactions are reported. In each hemisphere the independence of normalized distributions on longitudinal momentum versus multiplicity of the protons (scaling on multiplicity) is found. For a description of correlations between multiplicities of protons in hemispheres a model is suggested taking into account the finiteness of the proton number in a nucleus and neglecting possibilities of dynamical correlations
