Measurement of the cross-section ratio of the reactions (n, 2n) for natural mixtures of Pb- and Fe-isotopes with 14 MeV neutrons by the method of the delayed neutron-neutron coincidences

Description
The reaction σ (n, 2n) for Fe and Pb nuclei in their natural isotope mixtures is of great importance for fusion blankets materials and tritium recovery. The measuremnet of Fe/Pb cross sections ratio is carried out on neutron generator CAMEC-150 D using the multidetector system of 23He counters of the SNM-17 type. The value of the measured ratio is 4.23±1.71. The main sources of errors and their influence on the accuracy of the measurements are described. 4 figs., 2 tabs., 8 refs
