An analysis of vibrations of β-diketones in the ((UO2)2(HBA)4) complex compound

Description
On the basis of model representations, the calculation is carried out of frequencies and forms of normal vibrations as well as of the potential energy distribution by natural vibrational coordinates coordinated to the central uranium atom of β-diketones in the complex compound (UO2)2(HBA)4), where HBA-benzoyl acetone. The calculation results are compared with the experimental vibrational spectrum of the complex. It is ascertained that in the compound composition four benzoyl acetone molecules are acidoligands and one molecule is a neutral ligand in keto-form. Spectral characteristics for differentiation of two type ligands are suggested
