X-ray diffraction characteristics of hexaiodozirconate and hexaiodohafnate of lithium

Description
Results of interpretation of X-ray photographs of Li2ZrI6 and Li2HfI6 powders are presented. Cubic body-centred crystal lattice is determined. The lattice parameter is a for Li2ZrI6 - 13.58 A, for Li2HfI6 - 13.57 A. A number of formula units in elementary cell is 8. Space groups Oh9=Im3m; O5=I432; Id3=T4-bar3-barm comply with extinction rules
