Description

The superconducting accelerating cavity technology is developed at the Federate Problem Lab for Technology and Study Superconducting Cavities [1-3]. The goal of this report is to present some experimental results on the study of superconducting working surface by means of nuclear and physical methods[4], i.e, neutron activation analysis [4], gamma activation, Rutherford scattering, backward resonance scattering alpha particles, activation methods using charged particles [5]. One should also add SIMS method [6], method of Auger electron spectroscopy [7] and also the control by means of acoustic and field emission. The cyclotron p-7 M was used for Rutherford scattering and backward resonance alpha particle and activation methods using charged particles methods. Using the nuclear and physical control has given the possibility to study and develop methods of electrochemical purification of the surface Niobium layer from Tantalum impurity [3,8]
