Nonrenormalizability of the topological charge as a result of the index theorem for the inverse propagator of gluon
Description
It is shown, that in the Yang-Mills theory the vanishing of the radiative corrections to the matrix element of the topological charge is a manifestation of the index theorem for the operator, which enters the bilinear part of the Yang-Mills action in the background gauge. 9 refs.; 3 figs
