Transition radiation and transition scattering in vacuum in the presence of a strong electromagnetic field
Description
The transition radiation which arises when a charge crosses the boundary between a strong magnetic field and a region without a field is considered. The problems of transition scattering of sufficiently long strong electromagnetic waves by a fixed charge involving doubling of the frequency and also of transition scattering in the presence of a strong magnetic field without change of frequency are considered. The same problems are also considered for a moving charge (in all cases considered, the scattering takes place also for a charge whose mass M→infinity)
