Description

Adjustment of the confocal configuration of capillary X-ray optics using a solution of CuSO4 as a liquid secondary target is presented. Compared with the theoretical value of volume size, the relative error of the adjustment with a liquid secondary target was 9.8%, and this value was more accurate than that observed with a metal secondary target. The precision of the adjustment using a liquid secondary target was better than 7%. The adjustment process for confocal configuration with a liquid secondary target was more convenient and timesaving because there was no need for an extra electric stage to adjust the liquid secondary target. -- Highlights: •Adjustment of the confocal configuration of capillary X-ray optics using a liquid secondary target was proposed. •Performance of using the liquid secondary target to adjustment of the confocal configuration was studied. •The adjustment process for confocal configuration with a liquid secondary target was more convenient and timesaving
