Peri- and pararenal Masses

Description

The purpose of this paper is to compare the diagnostic usefulness of CT and multiplanar dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging for delineation and differential of retroperitoneal masses. Preoperative CT and MR examinations were available in 35 patients with surgically proved masses of extrarenal origin located adjacent to the kidneys. MR examinations were performed with gradient-echo sequences during suspended respiration. Repeated images were used for dynamic studies after administration of Gd-DTPA. CT was performed with Gd-DTPA a nonionic contrast material
