Survival of germinal cells of the male rat after exposure to 14 and 50 MeV neutrons and R.B.E
Description
No significant differences could be demonstrated between male rat germinal cell survivals to 14MeV and up to 50 MeV neutrons respectively. The survivals are well fitted by an exponential model (D0=289 rads) logically situated between the models concerning 60Co gamma rays and fission neutrons. On the basis of the testes weight loss after irradiation, the experimental results gave EBR ranging from 10 to 1.3 for survival rates from 92 to 2%

Les survies respectives des cellules germinales du rat male aux neutrons de 14MeV et a ceux d'energie maximale 50MeV n'ont pu etre significativement differenciees. Elles sont decrites par un modele exponentiel (D0=289 rads) qui s'insere logiquement entre ceux relatifs aux rayonnements gamma du cobalt-60 et aux neutrons de fission. Les resultats experimentaux obtenus, a partir du critere de la perte de poids des gonades apres irradiation, conduisent a des EBR qui varient de 10 a 1,3 pour des taux de survie allant de 92 a 2%Files
