Ways of labour expenditure lowering under manual electric-arc welding

Description

Three pipe joints 273 mm in diameter with the walls 32, 36 and 50 mm thick of the 15Kh1M1F steel were welded to determine actual time for slag removal. It has been ascertained that it is quite possible to increase labour productivity during welding by the method of ''transverse hill'', when increasing welding current from the calculated 140 A to 150-170 A and using electrodes 5 mm in diameter with the increase in current up to 200-220 A for the welding of the joint vertical sections
