The state-of-the-art of turbulence simulation
Description
In this report, the recent turbulence simulation techniques such as direct numerical simulation (DNS) and large eddy simulation (LES) are presented. The detailed methodology and examples are shown in Secs. 2 and 3, respectively, in the case of DNS and LES. In Sec. 4, the outlook for turbulence simulation is stated. Finally, in Sec. 5, some examples regarding the application of those turbulence simulation techniques to the area of thermal-hydraulics of nuclear power plant is discussed
