Description

Development of conceptual design for removal of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel from the open storage pad in Gremikha, a former Navy base. This project was funded by Northern Dimension Environmental Partnership. The scope of the project includes: - Analysis of data from the Comprehensive Engineering and Radiation Assessment; - Development of options to define possible technical solutions for transferring containers to a new temporary storage facility; - Statement of Work for development of a Conceptual Design; - Declaration of Intent and it approval by the Authority; - Justification of investments for removing objects from the open pad and rebuilding a temporary storage facility.
