Description
The chemical analysis of samples taken out of the strategic points of the process, makes it possible to control the variables in order to keep the dynamic balance of the chemical process. However in highly irradiated material that require remote operations, the results of the a chemical analysis like, response time and accuracy can became impracticable to the process principally if the small volume of samples and the handled operations from manipulators are taken into account. An automatic remote titration system, with several safety operational devices, was developed for Celeste I installation of IPEN-CNEN/SP. This system can make titration samples, dilutions and chemical separations by solvent extraction in the range of the 100 μL. The equipment, the operational difficulties and the necessary improvements are described in this work. (author)
