Quasi-electric backscattering of high-energy electrons by the crystal surface
Description
In terms of formalism of quantum kinetic equation for multiple scattering of high-energy nonrelativistic electrons in crystals the coefficient of quasi-elastic backscattering is calculated as a function of orientation of the incident particle flux with respect to atomic planes. It is shown that the problem of calculation of orientation phenomena in the general many-beam case of dynamical diffraction is reduced to solution of the system of algebraic equations. The dependence of the observed orientation effects on the electron energy, nuclear charge of the medium atoms and the energy transfer at inelastic collisions is determined
