In this paper, the authors estimate through the analysis of dispersion relations and current algebra sum rules that the experimentally searched excited state of nucleon with mass below pion-nucleon threshold must have a coupling one order of magnitude smaller than the normal pion- nucleon one gπNN2 as an upper bound
