New method for sample preparation for analysis of environmental objects by nuclear-physical methods
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Yadernykh Issledovanij
Description
A new method for sample preparation for analysis by nuclear-physical methods of environmental objects selected with nuclear filters is described. The method is based on quantitative transfer under pressure of suspension from the filter to the metal substrate of superpure indium. The procedure of carbon content determination using 12C(d,p)13C nuclear reaction on 1.32 MeV deuteron beam from an electrostatic accelerator is developed. The carbon detection limit reached in suspension is 0.12 μg/cm2, the error of analysing results is 10% rel. The results of analysis of carbon content in the Indian Ocean waters are considered as an example
