Study on the 165Tm → 165Er decay
- 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)
Description
New measurements of spectra of positrons, ν-ray, internal conversion electrons (ICE) and eν-coincidence are carried out during the 165Tm → 165Er decay. Investigations of gamma-radiation and ICE are performed using spectrometers with various Ge(Li)- and Si(Li)-detectors. The 165Tm positron spectrum is studied with the ironless ν-spectrometer with a toroidal magnetic field. The Eν-coincidence spectra are measured basing on the same ν-spectrometer and ν-spectrometer with the Ge(Li)-detector. The following results obtained are presented in a table: data on the 165Tm positron radiation; the 165Er ν-transitions with the values of their energies, intensities, and multipolarity; νe-coincidence spectra; the decay scheme proposed by authors. The 165Tm decay period is found to be 30.22+-0.08 hours. Information on 142 ν-transitions is obtained; multipolarities of 101 ν-transitions are established. The 165Tm → 165Er decay scheme proposed involves 28 excited states with energies up to 1528.11(7) keV and 128 ν-transitions (26 are included into the scheme for the first time). Properties of the 165Er excited states are under discussion. The ν-transition intensities and logft are determined on the base of the ν-transition intensity balance. Conclusions on the 165Er excited state parity and spins are drawn on the base of found transition multipolarities
