Description
Presented is the dynamic elastoplastic analysis of an internal structural wall of the PWR 1300 MWe reactor building. Compared are two approaches: one by EDF, the designer, one by CEA/DAS, the safety authorities. The purpose of this study is to prove that, under the combined loads due to LOCA and SSE (safe shutdown earthquake), the safety criteria (above-mentioned strain rates) are respected; hence it forms a part of the validation of the equivalent simplified design methods.
