Eco information 4. Influence of operation of the plants Jadrova vyradovacia spolocnost, a.s., on the environment, Locality of Mochovce, within April 2012

In this leaflet the results of monitoring of radioactive gaseous and liquid effluents into the Hron River as well as of radiation monitoring of Mochovce Liquid RAW Final Treatment Facility (FS KRAO) and Mochovce Radioactive Waste Repository (RU RAO) are presented. The radioactive effluents into atmosphere within April 2012 for FS KRAO were: 0.0115 MBq of beta and gamma radionuclides (0.1846 Mq for the period January - April 2012, that is 0.231% of annually limit (AL)); 0.13 MBq of alpha radionuclides (0.13 MBq for the period January - April 2012 (0.013% of AL)), and 0.45 MBq of 90Sr - the value of the quarterly (0.45 MBq for the period January - March 2012 (0.023% of AL)). The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within April 2012 for the radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within for FS KRAO were: 0.535 GBq of tritium (7.841 MBq for the period January - April 2012 (2.61% of AL)) and 0.979 GBq of tritium for KaSP (1.2728 MBq for the period January - April 2012 (32.64% of AL)). The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within April 2012 for RU RAO were: 1.135 MBq of tritium (5.675 MBq for the period January - April 2012 (0.030% of AL)); 0.059 MBq of 137Cs (0.298 MBq for the period January - April 2012 (1.307% of AL)); 0.03 MBq of 90Sr - the value of the quarterly (0.03 MBq for the period January - March 2012 (0.012% of AL)); 0.039 MBq of 60Co (0.152 MBq for the period January - April 2012 (0.678% of AL)); 0.001 MBq of 239Pu (0.001 MBq for the period January - April 2012 (0.179% of AL)). Volume of liquid effluents in April 2011 was 227 m3 (1135 m3 for the period January - April 2012).
