Description

In connection with a number of shortcomings typical of the process of reduction melting of REM base magnetic materials, the method and the device are designed for manufacturing master alloys and Nd-Fe-B-alloying addition alloys which combine operations of metal reduction and pouring into a casting mold. A numerical model is developed for two-component melt cooling and crystallization with regard to heat exchange among the melt, the casting mold and the environment. The software for simulation of such processes as reduction in a crucible, metal casting under conditions providing the separation of the melt into metal and slag, metal pouring and crystallization in a casting mold, is developer. The simulation shows that the melt should be poured 7-9 s after the beginning of cooling

Abstract (Russian)

В связи с рядом недостатков, присущих процессу восстановительной плавки магнитных материалов на основе РЗМ, разработаны способ и устройство для получения лигатуры и сплавов Nd-Fe-B-легирующие добавки, совмещающие операции восстановления и разливки металла в изложницу. Разработана численная модель режимов охлаждения и кристаллизации двухкомпонентного расплава с учетом теплообмена между расплавом, изложницей и окружающей средой. Разработано программное обеспечение для моделирования процессов восстановления в тигле, разливки металла в условиях, обеспечивающих расслоение расплава на металл и шлак, слив металла и его кристаллизацию в изложнице. Моделирование показало, что слив расплава необходимо проводить через 7-9 с с начала охлаждения
