The irradiation performance of austenitic stainless steel clade PWR fuel rods

Description
The steady state irradiation performance of austenitic stainless steel clad pressurized water reactor fuel rods is modeled with fuel performance codes of the FRAP series. These codes, originally developed to model the thermal-mechanical behavior of zircaloy clad fuel rods, are modified to model stainless steel clad fuel rods. The irradiation thermal-mechanical behavior of type 348 stainless steel and zircaloy fuel rods is compared. (author)

O desempenho sob irradiacao de varetas combustiveis com revestimento de aco inoxidavel austenitico e simulado em regime de operacao normal de reatores de agua leve pressurizada com os codigos de desempenho do combustivel das series FRAP. Estes codigos, originalmente desenvolvidos para a modelagem do comportamento termo-mecanico de varetas combustiveis com revestimento de zircaloy, sao modificados para modelar varetas combustiveis com revestimento de aco inoxidavel. O comportamento termo-mecanico sob irradiacao de varetas combustiveis com revestimento de aco inoxidavel tipo 348 e zircaloy e comparado. (autor)Files
