Description
This paper reports on the development of an optical-fiber positron tomograph with 240 PMT's which samples the image at 0.625 mm intervals in all three dimensions over a 10 cm axial field of view. The image voxels have dimensions of 2.5 mm and a fractional standard deviation of 0.20 for the image voxel events. These results are achieved for the caudate nucleus region of a radioactive source associated with a published brain image
