Description

At the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (1F), which is currently undergoing decommissioning, there is growing interest in the effects of radiation-emitting radionuclides such as 90Sr and 137Cs on the structural integrity. In particular, the corrosion behavior of carbon steel, which is used in many parts of 1F, is known to change depending on metal cations in solution, but the effects of 90Sr and 137Cs on corrosion are not yet understood. In addition, it is important to investigate the distribution of 90Sr and 137Cs in the rust layer in order to understand the corrosion behavior, but the method has not yet been established. In this study, a glove box was prepared to conduct corrosion tests of carbon steel in NaCl containing 90Sr and 137Cs in the glove box. In addition, in order to clarify the influence of 90Sr and 137Cs, which exist as metal cations in the solution, on the corrosion behavior of carbon steel, we attempted to establish a detection method for radioactive materials in the rust layer using an imaging plate. Abstract (Japanese)

現在廃止措置過程にある福島第一原子力発電所(1F)では、90Srや137Csをはじめとする放射線核種が構造物の健全性に及ぼす影響への関心が高まっている。特に1F内で多くの箇所に用いられている炭素鋼は、溶液中の金属カチオンによって腐食挙動が変化することが知られているが、90Srや137Csが腐食に及ぼす影響については未解明である。また、腐食挙動を理解するうえでは錆層中の90Sr及び137Csの分布を調査することが重要であるが、その手法は未だ確立されていない。本研究ではグローブボックス内で90Sr及び137Csを含むNaCl中で炭素鋼の腐食試験を行えるよう、グローブボックスの整備を行った。加えて、溶液中に金属カチオンとして存在する90Srや137Csが炭素鋼の腐食挙動に及ぼす影響を明らかにするため、イメージングプレートを用いた錆層中放射線核種の検出手法の確立を試みた。(著者)
