Description
A simple, reproducible and efficient method for the determination of metformin hydrochloride (MET) using UV-vis spectrophotometer was developed and validate. The validated method will be used for determination of MET as a diabetic medicine occur in wastewater. The analysis complied with Beer's law in the concentration range 100-900 ppb at 234 nm for MET. In our study the validation of analytical method for determination of MET by UV in wastewater was performed in accordance the parameters including- linearity of response, accuracy, limit of quantification, limit of detection, precision, system suitability, robustness (change of wave length ±1 nm). All the parameter in the analysis was chosen according to ICH guideline and validated statistically using RSD and % RSD. (author)
