Delayed neutron spectrum from the photofission of uranium
Description
The energy distribution of neutrons from the short-lived neutron emitters produced in the photofission of natural uranium has been studied with a 3He counter. A continous energy distribution was obtained with five shoulders in the energy region of 0.2 to 0.8 MeV. A line plot of (number of neutrons)sup(1/5) as a function of neutron energy above 1 MeV indicates two extrapolated neutron energies of about 1.6 and 4.4 MeV. (auth.)
