Hall and thermo-e.m.f. coefficients of CdTl2Te4 compound in solid and liquid states
Description
An investigation of the temperature dependence of the Hall coefficients and the thermal e.m.f. of the CdTl2Te4 compound in the range between 77 and 650 K has been conducted. It was shown that the Hall coefficients (Rsub(n)) and thermal e.m.f. (α) fall off as temperature rises. On melting, Rsub(n) and α change jump-like, and as the melt is heated further up to 1300 K these properties change smoothly. After the annealing of specimens, the absolute values of Rsub(n) and α increase, this being due to a drop in the concentration of current carriers and the ordering of the crystalline structure of CdTl2Te4
