Gain calculation for the D-T in SCAT and CAT modes with Bremsstrahlung loss and reheat branches
Description
Experiments, specially on laser compression of pellets, have demonstrated the achievement of highest gain in stagnation-free comparison. the role and relative magnitude of SCAT and CAT modes have been evaluated. BY developing a computer code, gain and reaction ratio dependency are considered. Regarding this evaluation on gain change, spin polarization is recommended for the suppression of neutron-producing reactions. (author) 10 ref., 9 figs., 2 tabs
