A symmetry-based mass formula for non-strange nuclei and Λ hypernuclei

Description
We describe a symmetry-based extension of the Weizsaecker mass formula, which is inspired by the spin-flavour SU(6) symmetry. We apply this formula for the simultaneous description of normal (i.e. non-strange) nuclei and Λ hypernuclei and calculate binding and separation energies. We also compare our formula with another similar extension of the Weizsaecker mass formula to Λ hypernuclei. (author)
