Microstructure and magnetic properties of sintered SmCo5
Description
The microstructure of sintered specimens of SmCo5, with high coercivity, has been studied by transmission electron microscopy and diffusion. Lamellar faults, large inclusions and fine precipitates are identified. The latter two are more common after heat treatment which reduces the coercivity. The results are discussed in connection with theories of domain nucleation and wall pinning. (Auth.)
