A procedure to obtain unconditionally strable explicit methods for structural problems
Description
This paper presents a procedure to derive from implicit schemes which preserves unconditional stability and the order of local truncation error, so that the best features of each class of methods are exploited. The procedure proposed can be applied if the implicit method requires at each time step the solution of linear systems with positive definite matrices. (orig.)
