Impurity stabilization of Nb3Ge

Creators

  • 1. Westinghouse Research Labs., Pittsburgh

Description

Experimental data are reported which support the hypothesis that the high-T/sub c/ Nb-Ge phase is impurity stabilized. Oxygen, nitrogen, and silicon have thus far been used as impurities to deposit Nb-Ge films which have superconducting onset temperatures of approximately > 20 K
