Photochemistry of physically adsorbed on quartz dimethyl cadmium molecules during irradiation by powerful pulses of KrF laser
Creators
Description
Dissociation and ionization of polylayers of dimethylcadmium molecules, physically adsorbed on molten quartz at 120 K induced by KrF-laser radiation, are studied using laser desorption mass-spectrometry. It is shown that dimethylcadmium dissociation to Cd and CH3 is a one-photon process, while that of the relevant ions-a three-photon one; ions of Cd(CH3)2+ and CdCH3+ are formed during collisions with desorbed molecules near Cd+ ions surface. 8 refs.; 4 figs
