Singularities in stationary, cylindrically symmetric dust solutions
Description
These dust solutions are studied to help discover whether a singularity in a fluid-filled space-time might be due to the misbehaviour of the fluid rotation of shear rather than an unbounded density as in, for example, the Friedmann models. It is shown that a singularity is indeed due to the misbehaviour of the dust vorticity and shear in dust solutions. (U.K.)
