Description

The situation of rank-zero first-forbidden β transitions and correlated meson-exchange effects near Z ∼ 20, A=50, and Z ∼ 50, A=134 is discussed. Similar experimental difficulties encountered in the decay of 50K and 134In are illustrative of the need for selectivity in far from stability studies. (orig.)
